The Cosplay Club is a space for students to express their creativity by designing costumes and theatrical props which bring characters from a two dimensional fantasy to a three-dimensional work of art. However, as the Club is still in its infancy, the club is short on resources. In order to ensure the continual of the Cosplay Club as a hub of developing artists, the club needs foam sheets, fabrics (of all kinds), spray paint, and spray foam. These resources are the foundations for creating props and consumes. The fabrics, foam, and metal sheets become the structural integrity of heavy and fragile props. The spray paint and spray foam allow for controlled an easy fine coloring and detailing to create attractive and engaging props. Students will be designing, building and creating their cosplay costumes from scratch, making their fan fiction novels come to life! Often, cosplayers went home to pull fabrics together to create their own work in progress, the ability and skill it takes for such detail is incredible. Individual students were inspired by their novels and took it upon themselves to create and learn new skills on their own accord. Many of the cosplayers were self-taught in costume building and even connected with their parents on how to use sewing machines or needle and thread. We need these resources in order to design, build and master costume making.
