I would like to provide students with yoga balls, stools, inflatable chairs, pillows, and cushion seating that provides the comforts of home. I’ve acquired some gently used furniture, lap desks, and tables instead of traditional desks. I will create an environment conducive to learning in a cozy and safe setting. Research has proven simple in-class activities can boost performance. Studies suggest that children who participate in short bouts of physical activity within the classroom have more on-task behavior, with the best improvement seen in students who are least on-task initially. Flexible seating is a choice provided to students, that allows them to work around the room comfortably and focused. It provides students the environment they need to be their best.
