A lot is expected from 2nd graders today. The number and intensity of standards they are expected to learn is much more than 20 years ago. Because of the rigor and amount of work students are expected to put forth, I feel that exercise balls are a much needed addition to the classroom. Exercise balls allow for kids to have freedom in their learning and give them much needed movement, while still remaining engaged. Many kids today desperately need movement to be able to properly focus. I think this will help enhance their learning experience and generate excitement within the classroom.

About my class
