Daily tasks can be challenging in a class that lacks the supplies to perform. With this project I hope to provide supplies for my students to complete their activities in a more efficient and productive manner. Many of my students do not have the means to supply their own materials. It is my belief that the less the children have to worry about materials, the more they can focus on their educational adventure. My responsibility as an educational professional is to provide my students with the best opportunity to succeed but I first need the materials to begin. My goal is for my students to out perform the existing standards that have been set for them by society. The supplies I have included are dry erase markers, post-it notes, copy paper and a pocket chart. The dry erase markers make everyday tasks easier for the students. Each morning the students come into the classroom full of excitement to learn new material. To begin our day, we practice spiral review and fact fluency using the dry erase markers. We also use them during lessons for extra practice and to check for understanding after the lesson is complete. My students love to use post-it notes to share their thoughts and ideas with others in the classroom. I intend to use the big post-it notes during group projects to record their thoughts and ideas to post around the room as a reference. The copy paper will allow work to be sent home for extra practice. We will use the pocket chart to store our materials, making it easier for students to access materials. Each child deserves an opportunity to succeed and these materials will make that possible for them.
