The students in my after school robotics class seldom get the opportunity to be part of a team, club, or organization at any level. Using just the basic materials we have repeated as city robotics champions for 4 consecutive years. In order to take them to the next level and compete regionally we would require additional equipment which is not included in starter kits to remain competitive. There is a limited budget for such equipment as the funds for the program have been diminished to next to nothing. The majority of the materials and equipment that I currently have I have acquired through grant writing, fundraising and personal funding. I would like to be able to expand the program to add additional students as the STEM curriculum learned through participation is vital to the future of these children.
