These school supplies we will be be used for by my new students for the upcoming school year. I teach in a low property area and often times students will come to school without adequate supplies. We do not have desks in our classroom so the pencil boxes will be used to store their crayons, scissors, glue sticks, erasers, and colored pencils in. Scissors will be used to complete cut and paste assignments and various art projects. Of course crayons and colored pencils will be use to enhance and bring life to our assignments. Just in case mistakes are made, the erasers will be used for correction. Glue sticks will be used for art projects and any assignment that the students may need to complete using glue. When students have what they need, then are free to concentrate and focus more on the instructional aspect of learning. Not only will students benefit from these supplies, parents will also feel good knowing their child has what he or she needs each day to be successful. Getting started on the first day of school will boost everyone's confidence and make the entire school year a success.
