With education and technology evolving in our world, my students are learning by using some old and new methods to achieve higher levels of understanding. Our school is improving its technology, but we are still not at that ideal level of having a one to one student to computer ratio. To take the initiative, I feel that getting these four Chromebooks in my classroom would be a start. The goal is to eventually get more, but I want to start with these to allow my students now to access resources and tools that are only available online. I can have one Chromebook per group or pair to allow students to work on their peer relationships and learn together. These Chromebooks would allow my students to be ahead of the learning curve of others, learn in their own way, and allow my classroom to be a positive and effective learning environment through the various uses that would be made available. Students will be able to interactively explore concepts that are only available through the online portion of our textbook. We will also use these Chromebooks to investigate higher level concepts in small collaborative learning groups and during performance tasks. Additionally, the students will have the ability to complete online assessments and assignments that have been individualized for each student for their level of learning while still in class to get help from myself when needed! The online component of this textbook has lesson tutorial videos, interactive explorations, enrichment activities, and various levels of games that promote the concepts that we learn in the lesson everyday. These Chromebooks would allow myself to provide various ways of learning to students so that they could be successful in math and in life!
