I teach Science and a Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) classes to about 130- 7th and 8th Grade students at a small rural school. We love to do hands-on design challenges and projects, but as part of a Title 1 school district, we don't often have the materials, or the money to purchase the materials, we need. We do our best by collecting recycled materials and making our own low budget STEAM class maker space. With DonorsChoose grants, we hope to stock our STEAM class maker space with basic supplies and kits necessary for true STEAM creativity and innovation!
