The document camera and tripod will make it possible for my students who are learning virtually to see materials I have in the classroom. It will also make it possible for my students to see me model what they are being asked to do and to give them examples. It is especially important for my English Language Learners to see examples of sentences, writing, and math problems. We use many pictures and hand gestures when communicating and learning English. By having a tripod to mount my iPad on so they can see me and a document camera to easily see what is being written, the students will be more successful. Not only will this project help those that are learning virtually this year, it will help those in the classroom. By having the document camera my students and I can stay socially distanced, and they will still be able to see what I am writing as it is projected on the board. I will also be able to project their work from a safe distance and still be able to conference with them.
