This gorgeous new rug will allow my students to feel COMFORTABLE while learning! Our current rug is a hand-me-down from an older classroom, and I have had several students (and parents) tell me that it is uncomfortable. In kindergarten, the students are on the rug a lot for group learning activities and story times. It is already hard for 5 and 6 year olds to sit still for long periods of time, and a "spiky" or "poky" rug makes it even harder for them. I want to create a classroom environment where my students feel excited to learn and be at school. Being comfortable during instruction time is a very big deal!
