I teach two sections of 12th Grade Contemporary Literature at STRIVE Prep Excel. This course focuses on using modern fiction and nonfiction texts to engage with students on issues of social justice and equality. The coursework of this class is designed to prepare our students for the rigors and demands of the college classroom. This is our first senior class and we are thrilled that 93% (and counting!) have already been accepted to colleges and universities for next year! STRIVE Preparatory Schools (STRIVE Prep) is a Denver-based community of free, open enrollment, public charter schools committed to providing every student with an excellent, high-quality, college-preparatory education. STRIVE Prep was founded nearly 10 years ago under the belief that students from all backgrounds deserve a college preparatory education regardless of race, economic circumstance or previous academic achievement.

About my class
