These books will be part of a first ever summer program for ELL's at my high school! During summer school, the students will have time for independent reading, but we do not have books that are appropriate for their age and reading level. The Saddleback Book Company has done a fantastic job of creating high interest books at a low reading level for high school students! My plan is to use the books for independent reading, which will give me time to do intensive remediation with our readers who struggle the most! I would also like to be able to send a couple of these books home with each of our students, so they continue working on their English reading skills!
