My third grade students need the flexible seating options to maximize their learning. Students will be motivated by being able to choose a seating option that best works for them. When students have motivation, they have a drive to accomplish new tasks. This motivation will lead to academic gains. The seating options will allow students to use movement to increase their learning throughout their time at school. Students will be more engaged for longer periods of time due to the increased movement that these seating options, including Wobble chairs and ball chairs, provide. Movement is needed to build their stamina of learning. This will positively impact students and their learning capabilities. When there is a possibility to increase student learning, it is well worth the effort. These new seating options will bring increased learning to my classroom.
