Our first and second grade Newcomer Center serves brand new English Learners! We have students from many countries who speak Somali, Anuak, Arabic, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Urdu, etc. Some of our students are refugees and others are here because of the Mayo Clinic. Once students reach a level of English which allows them to access content in a regular classroom, they are transitioned into regular grade level classrooms. It is a privilege to teach these eager learners!

About my class
