I read aloud to my students every day. These books offer beautiful messages of friendship, acceptance, kindness and compassion. Through the interacive read-aloud and discussion of these diverse books, kids will hear messages of empathy and kindness, learn the importance of kindness, and things the they can do to be kind. An interactive read aloud includes reading and pausing along the way for meaningful discussion. These books celebrate cultures around the world, offer examples of goodness, and highlight the power of friendship and inclusion. These stories will inspire my students to spread kindness which in turn will create a safe yet brave learning space where kids are willing to take risks, make mistakes, and learn from their mistakes.
