The game of chess imitates life. Chess is a game that teaches you so many life lessons such as, think before you act, think of several options when problem solving and strategically behave in a manner that will benefit you and society. The game of chess mirrors the game of life. If you can master chess, it could provide you with the mental skills to master life. I am a school counselor and it is important that I promote healthy social skill, which in turn will produce productive citizens. Furthermore, it is extremely important to give my students the tools necessary to be great and valued members of society.
