To help my students learn amid the pandemic and to help their overall well-being during this time, I need materials that help teach my drama students and my English Language Arts students. We are reading novels in English and reading, writing, and acting plays in my drama class. I do not have that many teaching materials for either class. This is only my second year at this grade level. We have a tiny playscript library. The students need more lessons that are relevant to their lives today. We want to take some of these plays and perform them. The students do not have a working knowledge of how to use stage lighting or how to use stage makeup safely and in Covid or Pandemic conditions. They would learn how to apply it using a safe and sterile method. I am asking for a spotlight and gels to help teach stage lighting. I am asking for theatre makeup sets. I am asking for teaching material for drama and acting. My English classes are reading novels and using Post-It notes to mark understanding. I would like to have the teacher's manuals that go with them to offer different activities than simply reading the books. These will advance their knowledge of the subjects in the books and how they relate to their current lives. We need to have a first aid kit in our classroom if we are going to be using the stage spotlight. We need the folding chairs to use for acting out the scenes and for moving them onto a stage easily. They will be easier to move out of the way and store in my room allowing the students to spread out and socially distance. The posters will help provide a visual of the different drama terms.
