I'm requesting healthy snacks for my students, to support their brain and body development. Nobody can focus when they are hungry. This year we eat lunch at 10:40 a.m. By 1:00 my students are very hungry. These healthy snacks are a life essential item, that will allow them to focus on their studies, not their hunger. There are many hours in the school day, between when a child arrives to school and leaves for home. Many of my students do not have access to healthy snacks, to put in their backpacks for an afternoon snack. By receiving these snacks, these students will have a healthy snack to fill their stomachs, that will allow them to focus their attention on learning.
