These materials will allow students to take a conceptual design from a digital format into physical reality. This project is used to allow students to see that their work can be meaningful and that the skills they learn in my class are able to be used in the real-world in STEM and manufacturing careers. It also allows students to bring a light and joy to their teachers during this extremely tough school year and to let teachers know that their work matters. Students during this pandemic filled school year are struggling with finding a purpose in coming to school, and this project serves the dual purpose of showing them that they can improve their outlook on life by helping others and by showing them that skills they learn in my class can translate to careers after high school.
