Flexible seating will make a tremendous difference in my classroom. My job as their teacher is to support their learning in a positive way as much as I can. These chair will enable my students to get their wiggles out in a positive way while still staying focused on the task at hand. First graders are naturally squirmy. Wiggling helps their brains process information. Although, I use a lot of movement in the classroom to support their learning, when we go back to our seats, some of my students have a little bit of trouble staying focused on their reading, writing, and math. By engaging the students body with flexible seating, I am able to support my students ability to focus, and in turn help them succeed academically.
