These materials will allow me to develop a Spanish library for my students. These books will provide a variety of literature to my native Spanish-speaking students in my Heritage Spanish class. My current classroom library consists of children's books in Spanish, and I want to expand my library to include materials that inspire my bilingual students to read. My native Spanish-speaking students currently use books for independent reading time in class. With my wishlist of books I plan to develop independent reading opportunities for students, loan books to students and support several literacy levels. Literature can reach all levels of language learners and providing a library is essential to developing the variety of language levels in my class.
