Students will work in groups to create a set of baseball cards that include information on Civil Rights figures, their achievements, and memorable moments during their lifetime. Using the cardstock, glue, and colored pencils, students will create a set of baseball cards for prominent Civil Rights figures and noteworthy Civil Rights events. Once each group makes their set of baseball cards, they will work together to link people/events to prior knowledge and current events. Students will also pick a relevant song for each person/event and have to justify why they used this song as the "favorite" for each of the people/events.
