The early childhood classroom is a very busy place. Our children learn by being active participants in the learning process. Unlike older students, kindergartners are frequently changing from one activity to another. A classroom rug gives us a place to come together as a class. We do so many activities on the floor but so often end up sprawled all over. I would like for each child to have their own "spot." Instead of sprawling on the floor, this requested Sitting Grid for 30 carpet will give each child a place of their own. This helps our students to stay focused on the lesson rather than the child next to them. Kindergartners enjoy having a sense of ownership in their classroom. They know their own desk, their coat hook and cubby. This new classroom rug will give each child their own spot. They'll know where they belong.
