Throughout the primary grades and into the intermediate level, students are learning about personal space and respect others' "bubbles". It is also important to be cognizant of students who may have additional needs for movement, which leads to accommodations in the classroom! Through the provided supports personal space for all students, we are able to help all students achieve successful social interactions and understanding of classroom boundaries. When students struggle to find that "personal space" or have a need for additional movement, they may be supported through the use of the flexible seating options (such as the five Stay-N-Play Balance Balls) and the Nature's Colors Seating Classroom Rug. My goal is to use the following items to support all learners' needs for a flexible and accommodating learning environment. By providing such an inviting and student-friendly learning environment for all learners, teachers can focus less on maintaining classroom management effectively and focus more on students' academic progress and growth throughout the year.
