"In the coming years, we should build on that progress, by … offering every student the hands-on computer science and math classes that make them job-ready on day one." - President Obama in his 2016 State of the Union Address This project will allow you to make an investment in the future by supporting kids to gain fundamental technology skills today. I would like to not only use these robots in my classroom with all students at our school, but also to start an after school club that will focus on learning coding in a fun and engaging way! There are so many opportunities for students that are interested in sports, but the opportunities for kids interested in technology to collaborate with one another are much more limited. This club will give these students a voice!
