As a teacher, I am very aware of my responsibility of making sure my students are safe. Taking a class on a trip can be very rewarding but also very challenging. My students will stand out in a crowded area and will be easily recognized if they are wearing matching t-shirts on a field trip. Since I teach kindergarten, this makes a huge difference. The students will be going on a trip to the Northeast Livestock Expo, and the t-shirts would be worn this trip. Hundreds of children will attend this event and matching t-shirts will reassure our student's safety. I will recycle the t-shirts year after year by personally taking them home and washing them after each use and returning them to the classroom for the next adventure. These t-shirts could get several years of wear by not sending them home with the students and by keeping them in the classroom for years to come.
