Reading aloud is one of the most important things parents and teachers can do with children. During a read aloud, children build many critical early literacy skills: vocabulary, concepts of print, speech development, expression, and fluency. One of the most important skills they will benefit from is recognizing that reading is fun! Children are never too young to have stories read to them. With age appropriate and engaging books, your donation of books and book bins to our classroom library, will help to foster the love of reading! As a teacher, I can help build a lifelong interest in reading with "just right" and engaging books.
