With COVID requiring us to teach and learn from home, students are missing out on the opportunity to use fun and helpful math manipulatives. This project would allow each of my students to use seven 10-sided dice to randomly build numbers to the millions place. This is a great tool to teach place value and it will also enable students to generate 7-digit numbers to add and subtract. The 10-sided dice will provide students the opportunity to generate numbers using the digits 0-9, which is more effective than the digits 1-6 provided by a generic 6-sided die.
