Part of the first grade science curriculum is learning about life cycles. For the past 4 years, we have hatched chicken eggs in the classroom. This has been such an amazing and exciting experience for the children. I would love to take this to the next level, by being able to keep the chickens we hatch and allowing the children to fully witness the life cycle in its entirety. The first grade students will work together to feed the chickens, gather eggs, and keep the coop clean. I believe that this chicken coop, poultry feeder, and egg candler will provide an incredible experience for every student in our school.

About my class
