My students have truly developed a love for reading this year! Many of my students are beginning to build confidence in reading chapter books independently. With a class set of novels, we are able to guide and challenge readers by not only following along or reading independently, but by accomplishing differentiated assignments at their level. These assignments help us dive deeper into to the parts of a story, character development, visualization, and increase overall comprehension. Allowing students to have a book in their hand helps them completely absorb an excellent reading experience. Many of my students are not able to read at home and this extra time will benefit their education greatly!
