I am asking for a set of Play Food Baskets and a Super Chef Play Kitchen. In the kitchen center, my students will have a chance to use their own kid inspired ideas to create, play, and communicate with others about preparing healthy, nutrient-dense meals to help fuel their brain and bodies. My students will use the resources from this project to learn how to share ideas and materials. It is important for my kindergarten students to learn to play creatively and cooperatively which will help to improve problem solving and self-regulation skills. The center will incorporate health and nutrition skills. Students will be able to read or write recipes, "cook" and measure something delicious with friends. This play kitchen will help my amazing students develop healthy nutrition and social-emotional skills they will need for the rest of their lives.
