The classroom environment plays a role in students success. I am on a mission to support my group of students with shelving and leveled books. My goal is to enable children to make book selections on their own as they are learning to read. To help them, I can create an organized library area where students can pick books based on interest (picture reading), prior experience (retelling). The books I would like to invest in from Lakeshore would help them choose texts at their level (reading the words). By doing this, the impact will be monumental for my K/1 class.
