A chest freezer will help our students to preserve all produce that is grown in our hoop house and aquaponics system. The chest freezer will be in the students' community cafe for student use. The freezer will increase the capacity of goods that can be stored for consumption and sales. Students will learn about preservation practices, the farm to table process, how food production influences a micro-economy, and how nutritious foods affect one's health. With a freezer increasing the capacity of goods, our micro-economy will grow and more capital will be available to students to help to grow their business.

About my class
