Nestled in the thick woods of Missouri, you will find a small K-8 school named, Richwoods. Every morning, nearly 200 students walk through our doors with high expectations of learning. As the 5-8 ELA teacher, it is my job to help students continually grow as readers. I am constantly looking for new ideas to help promote reading since it is not always the "fun" thing to do. I make it my mission to find out what my students enjoy outside of school in order to incorporate those interests into their learning. My classroom is a place where students participate in rich classroom discussions, critical thinking, and acquire skills that they will be able use throughout their lives. It is my goal to embed learning strategies in students that they can utilize throughout their academic careers. I am truly blessed to teach some of the most amazing young people on the planet!
