Students at Lake View are a diverse group of individuals. I have freshman through seniors mixed throughout the day. In our classes we have special education population along with English as a second language to the class valedictorian. To keep all students actively learning and challenged is a challenge to say the least. We are a title one school and funds into the elective classes are scarce. I recently became the Family Consumer Science teacher and the classroom was wiped out when I came in. There have been no updates in the room and no technology from the workplaces where these students will hopefully being taking their learned skills are non existent. I have five preps a day and am in desperate need to update the classroom and the learning opportunities for our future learners.
