Our TIME For Kids subscription will be the perfect nonfiction asset to our classroom. Over the years, I've found that the majority of children have a difficult time finding a nonfiction text that they can comprehend and actually enjoy reading at the same time. TIME For Kids is the perfect tool to engage my children and keep them reading because the events are weekly current events. My students naturally gravitate towards magazines so a newsmagazine is a great way to get fourth graders actively reading nonfiction. TIME For Kids will not only keep my students engaged in a nonfiction text, it will also be strengthening their literacy skills, while they are reading and writing about current events. With access to the TIME For Kids site, I will be able to take advantage of various activities to ensure that my students' are understanding what they are reading and utilizing this resource to the fullest. Since TIME For Kids is delivered weekly, my students are very excited about the constant stream of deliveries throughout the year!
