During trials of different AAC devices, the students had greater success and carryover with use of the iPod as their mode of communication. With the iPod the students will have the ability to answer questions, express needs, interact with peers, interact with employers and participate in their curriculum. In the job setting, pages can be created to allow them to interact with their employer and their co-workers and assist with continued employment. Overall, giving these students a way to communicate that they are accepting of and successful with will help them be integrated as independent parts of society now and in their future.

About my class
