In my classroom, I have purchased three small carpets in order to add more comfort during whole group lessons. Due to the fact carpets are so expensive, I've been unable to purchase a proper carpet that fits all of my students comfortably. In first-grade we spend most of our day on the carpet and very little time at our desks. My students sit at the carpet for morning meeting, whole group lessons, choice time and independent reading. I want to make sure I can create a classroom that is comfortable for my students. I want to make sure they have room to spread out, especially during the pandemic.
