My students will use these iPads to be creative and self reflect about their learning. Research shows that an important part of goal setting is self-reflection and monitoring their own progress. My students will use the iPads to create digital portfolios which will track their progress in both reading and math. Through the use of different apps, their parents, other students, and administrators can view their portfolios and observe their growth. My school is limited to 15 total iPads to share between a whole building of K-8 classrooms. Therefore, I am lucky if I get to check out one iPad a day for my students to use. I see how much my students love working on the iPad when we get to use it and I know they would truly benefit from having access to this technology on a daily basis.
