If my project is funded it will provide the tools needed to differentiate lessons for the varied needs of my special needs classes. Games that teach sight words, phonics, and blending encourage early reading. The magnetic letters help the students touch the letters and make words. These tangible manipulativves increase interest and opportunities to learn. Early reading books give the students a chance to use the newly acquired skills and fill successful. The math games use the knowledge the students are acquiring to reinforce what they already know about place value, number sense and how to use the 4 operations in different life experiences.
