My students are learning virtually from home. Although they are enthusiastic learners they are having a difficult time hearing the lessons being taught. Often times, they are unable to focus because of the noise level, the activity going on around them, and even the sound of other teachers instructing their siblings. In order to become good readers and writers my students must master phonemic awareness (being able to hear, recognize and manipulate the sounds of the alphabet). This is sometimes nearly impossible to do because of the noise level. The problem is compounded because my students are in a Dual Language Program trying to master the sounds in two languages! By donating headphones you will ensure that my students are engaged and focused on their number one priority: learning. With headphones we can get back to the business of learning and becoming bilingual.
