This project will provide my students with the organizational materials that will help them make the connection and the importance of reading comprehension and writing. By using the comprehension notebooks the students will develop the skills to analyze information that they capture in their journal. This will help them with their thinking and in their writing. Students who have multiple places to find information and multiple touch points during instruction do better in comprehension and applying what they have learned. Many studies have shown that students who have well organized journals are more effective learners in the classroom. These resources will help my students thrive in the classroom and these skills will be transferred to their studies are home.
