The instructional digital intervention (System 44 and Read 180) utilizes a software component that requires headphones for students’ full attention. I will also simultaneously be administering reading instruction for one small group, as well as have an independent reading group, all within the same classroom. For this reason, headphones are essential for the software group to concentrate and get the full benefit from the digital instruction. The software requires verbal (fluency/phonics) and physical interaction. This Next Generation software is individualized and adaptive to each student’s needs. It deserves to be heard in its entirety!
