As our learning community strives to foster learning opportunities based on each student's developmental stage, having a portable easel would facilitate meeting with small groups in multiple areas within the classroom without being restricted by the physical location of our one whiteboard. A portable easel with storage, would allow for all required tools to be ready to be used by our students as they actively construct meaning during small group instruction. In a highly dynamic learning environment it becomes crucial to make adequate use of time and space. I consider that having a portable easel would allow me the flexibility to meet with small groups without the restriction of having only one whiteboard.
