I believe all students deserve a hands-on learning experience and I want to be able to provide that for my students. These manipulatives promote critical thinking and exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. By 2018, 1 in 20 global jobs will be STEM related. These items will accelerate students learning and increase the depth of their learning. STEM activities promote student-centered learning. It encourages students to ask questions and engage with their fellow students. I want the students who leave my classroom to have new found love and respect for math and science. I truly believe my students will benefit from having these tools for their everyday use.
