Computer Graphics, design and Illustration and Visual Communications are both project based classes where each student has their own iMac computer. The graphic design process taught includes foundational principles and elements of design, concept development, color theory and typography. A majority of the students entering this class have little knowledge of computers, especially to create digital illustrations and designs, but leave with a diverse level of experience using technology. Students learn to use industry standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Students learn in an digital environment where research on the internet is a daily activity. Along with learning the basics of graphic design students are taught how to be career ready by creating a resume and cover letter.
