Open the door and WHAM! The students' overwhelming desire to improve themselves cannot be missed as you walk in and find yourself a seat as a classroom observer. Looking around the classroom, you'll see 10th-12th grade students who have made their way through the streets of South Los Angeles to their seats in my Biology/AP biology classes. These students have won their seats, through public lottery, and are committed to improving their life through acceptance to college.
