Literature circles can be dreaded by students if their interest level in their assigned book is little to none. This project will provide students with new and exciting books that they are sure to love. Their interests will spark the desire to continue reading until the very last page! Students are needing engaging books that they won't want to put down during literature circles! The selected books have a range of reading levels to help with the multiple reading abilities in the class. This way, even the lowest reader will be able to feel successful with their reading. The combination of different reading levels and increased interest levels in the books will lead to increased comprehension and understanding of what is being read. As a result, the Socratic seminars that students will participate in will be even more beneficial than before!
