Since remote learning has become a norm, more parents are now being teachers too, so parents and teachers need tools—especially to teach the foundations of reading. “Secret Stories® are as easy for parents & teachers to teach as they are for kids to learn…. because they make sense!” Here is an example of a quick “lesson” taught using the Secret Stories®: “Why does /th/ say “thhhhhhhh?” Because they don’t get along and so they stick their tongues out at each other. It’s that simple. And since we naturally lean in to hear a secret, the kids will be on the edges of their seats ready to learn secrets that will help them “crack the code” of phonics! I plan to order several of the Secret Stories® phonics and reading kits from Teachers Pay Teachers in order to support all of our teachers working to provide a foundation for kindergarteners. Thank you for helping our kindergarteners learn to read and have fun with it, too!
