This is the first year I am teaching all of the English Language Arts and Social Studies for the entire second grade. My books are in neat piles. Yes, piles!! The students deserve an organized colorful reading area by theme. I have selected a few book organizers to get started. I have also selected colorful, informative books to go in the organizers for the students. All of today's books that were selected have to do specifically with understanding the United States, our history, land forms, and landmarks. What a better way to incorporate my English Language Arts love with the importance of teaching social studies! Please consider our small little school for this important project!
